· Asafoetida (hing) pinch
· Season with salt to taste
· (As needed) water

Instructions:
Make the Onions:
The onions should be peeled and thinly sliced. Divide the onion rings into individual rings.
Make the Batter:
· Combine gram flour, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, asafoetida, and salt in a mixing bowl.
· Add water gradually to make a smooth, lump-free batter. The sauce must be thick enough to coat the onion slices.
Heat the oil:
· In a deep pan or kadhai, heat the oil over medium heat.
Coat the onion slices with:
· Dip the individual onion rings into the batter, coating them completely.
Cook the Pakoras:
· Drop the coated onion slices into the hot oil with caution. Fry them until golden brown and crisp. To avoid overcrowding the pan, fry in batches.
Remove Excess Oil:
