Ingredients:
• 1 cup boiled
chickpeas
• 2 tablespoons
oil
• 1 teaspoon
cumin seeds
• 1 enormous
onion, finely hacked
• 1 tomato,
finely cleaved
• 1 tablespoon
ginger-garlic glue
• 1 green bean
stew, finely hacked
• 1/2 teaspoon
turmeric powder
• 1/2 teaspoon
red bean stew powder (change in accordance with taste)
• 1/2 teaspoon
coriander powder
• 1/2 teaspoon
cumin powder
• 1/2 teaspoon
garam masala
• Salt to taste
• New coriander
leaves for decorate
• Lemon wedges
for serving
Guidelines:
1. In a dish,
heat oil over medium intensity. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
2. Add cleaved
onions and sauté until they become brilliant brown.
3. Add
ginger-garlic glue and slashed green bean stew. Sauté briefly until the crude
smell vanishes.
4. Add hacked
tomatoes and cook until they become delicate and the oil begins to isolate.
5. Add turmeric
powder, red bean stew powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and
salt. Blend well and cook for two or three minutes.
6. Add the
bubbled chickpeas to the flavor combination. Mix well to cover the chickpeas
with the flavors.
7. Allow it to
stew for 5-7 minutes, permitting the flavors to merge. Change the flavoring
according as you would prefer.
8. When
prepared, eliminate from intensity and move to a serving bowl.
9. Decorate with
newly slashed coriander leaves for an explosion of newness.
10. Serve the
Kathiawari Cholay hot as a wonderful tidbit, joined by lemon wedges.
Crispy
Garnish: Just before serving, sprinkle some sev, or crunchy chickpea
flour noodles, over the top of the Kathiawari Cholay for an extra crunch.
Chaat
Style: To transform this snack into a chaat, add diced tomatoes,
onions, and tamarind chutney. It's a tasty twist that makes snacking more
enjoyable.
Preparation
in Advance: Make the chickpea mixture in advance and keep it
refrigerated in an airtight container. Reheat on the stovetop and garnish when
ready to serve.
Try
Different Toppings: Don't be afraid to try different toppings, such as
grated cheese, chopped cucumbers, or a dollop of yogurt for a personalized
touch.
